At their Brompton-on Swale meat manufacturing plant Holmesterne Foods continue apace with their programme of adding more simple automation processes to established manufacturing lines, resulting in yet more significant benefits to the business.

The Thomson Mincer Grinders now directly feed mechanised belts that transport the minced meat products directly up to the Handtmann formers that produce many of the company’s staple lines including cocktail sausages, meatballs and stuffing balls.

Commenting, Head of Operations Shaun Bedford said:

“It’s been very rewarding to work with the team at Tanfield who are a local engineering company, and together, to design a very effective outcome to the Handtmann hopper infeed challenge.

The solution is paying dividends and further demonstrates our commitment to quality throughout our business”.
