Holmesterne Foods is a leading food manufacturing company based in Richmond, North Yorkshire. We supply only the finest food products to our partner customers in Retail, Manufacturing and Food Service which include the UK's leading supermarkets.
What we do
We manufacture a broad range of food products that include both raw and cooked meats and vegetables, plus a huge variety of ingredients for prepared meals. We also produce components for other food manufacturers and supply online food businesses.
Our product range
Our range is extensive: ready meals & soups, roasted vegetables, shredded meats, ribs, meatballs & sausages, stuffings, ambient meals, cooked meats, hot food to go, health & wellbeing meals
Our meat and vegetable products are available for immediate call off in raw, cooked, chilled, ambient or frozen formats.
Our manufacturing facilities
We operate from two modern manufacturing factories using latest manufacturing techniques and state of the art machinery and are fully equipped to extrude, tumble, mix, blend, slice and dice.
Brompton on Swale: This is our licensed meat cutting plant where our team of in-house butchers process raw, chilled and frozen red meat and poultry. Here we also manufacture stuffings, meatballs and BBQ products.
Leeming Bar: This cooking facility produces cooked meat products, roast and steamed vegetables, as well as chilled, frozen, ane ambient stable (retorted) meals.
We are a Red Tractor approved supplier and are fully accredited to SAGI Global, BRC Food standards as well as SEDEX ethical.
Our development kitchen
Our well-equipped inhouse kitchen is very much at the heart of our business with customers briefing us to turn their food ideas and projects into commercial reality. Our agility as a business means we react quickly to our customers’ requirements for the development of bespoke products. As a result we are acquiring an excellent reputation for quick turnaround based on our ability to manufacture smaller production runs which, due to our factory set ups, we can batch produce at short notice.
15% of customer development dishes were launched into the market place in 2016 when the industry norm averages 10%.
