Tina Galloway-Grindlay joined the business as Head of HR just under two years ago and has quickly become an integral member of the management team.

Tina is a skilled HR generalist with over 10 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.  She works with all levels of management within the business, providing advice, guidance and risk factors, as well as ensuring that legislation, policy and best practice are applied fairly and consistently across all 3 of the company’s manufacturing sites.

Her key areas of expertise include the provision of broad-spectrum HR advice and guidance across the business, offering recommendations and proposals in order to streamline and improve processes and policies. She is focused on encouraging collaborative working, empowering and supporting Managers by providing them with the tools and confidence to manage staff effectively and to implement and develop individual and personal development plans.

Tina said: “My ambition is to build on my existing skillset to develop in new areas and make a difference and have a real impact on the organisation's succession plan for the future. The growth plans of Holmesterne need the support of appropriate HR policies as we build our teams for the future.”

Tina’s HR career began within the public sector in 2008. Over the next few years she studied for a MA HRM at Teesside University, graduating in 2011.  In 2014 she became a self-employed HR consultant finally moving on to work for an offshore service provider in order to demonstrate experience across all sectors. Now she is enjoying the challenges of working for a privately owned progressive and growing company.
